One day I was
watching my four hours of daily TV and started thinking, “I wonder if normal people will think the same thing about these restaurants on the food shows”. With that in mind I set out on my epic foodventure to see these restaurants through untrained eyes.
My list is made up of restaurants that showed up on all of the food shows on the Food Network, the Travel Channel, and some from the internet. My list includes shows like No Reservations, 101 Chowdown Countdown, and Diners Drive-ins and Dives. All the restaurants are added with the item eaten by the host. The idea of the list is to see if these places really are as good as they claim to be or if we are being led astray by these famous chefs. Now as I travel to different places in the United States I plan to eat at these restaurants and write about my experiences. Hopefully the shows did not lead me astray. At the very least it will be an adventure.
I believe that a good meal can make any bad day into a great one and I hope to find all the places where I can take my friends and family. The fun part of this list is that I have friends and family in many different parts of the country so it gives us something fun to do whenever I come to visit. Come along with me on this journey and join in if you are in the area!
That sounds soooo fun! We actually tried a Giada’s Weekend Getaway in our hometown one time, and ordered exactly what she got! Let’s just say that, although she made it look a lot better, I wouldn’t mind giving the place another try.
Thanks, it is a lot of fun. Always an adventure when I go to a new place and the different shows bring an eclectic menu. Take a look at my no kid hungry donation page and you can get access to parts of my list in your area or in vacation destinations.
